SonicWall operates a systematic 5-stage lifecycle management process that’s more structured than most network equipment vendors. Understanding each stage helps you plan equipment refreshes efficiently.
Last Day Order (LDO) – Final Purchase Date
The first signal of product discontinuation. After this date, you can no longer order the product. However, support continues, so there’s no immediate panic.
Active Retirement Mode (ARM) – Manufacturing Cessation
Manufacturing and sales cease at this stage. Support contracts remain purchasable, and limited firmware updates are still provided.
